The Sights...

For many of us, this was our first proper attempt at Surfing! With perfect weather and enthusiasm-plus, we hit water at Agnes. Some of us stood up, some of us kneeled, some of us just paddled about - but we all left as true surfers at heart. Agnes Water hasn't seen the last of us yet!

Having finished all the community service projects, it was time for a Celebration City - and what better place than one with sun, surf and sand! Hello Agnes Water!

One morning, we treated the Big Lifters to spot of sight seeing and visited the Captain Cook Lookout at 1770. Such a historic place of beauty! With everything we had learnt over the past few days about Indigenous culture, Captain Cook's landing had taken on extra meaning. The Big Lifters were connecting with the Australian identity more than ever before.

"It's hard to describe that feeling of happiness you get when you look out over the ocean. It reminds me of when I was growing up. And it reminds me that I need to put on another layer of sunscreen - you can never have too much sunscreen."

...the Stars.

We lapped up the opportunity to be outdoors with the beach as our backdrop and spent both evenings under the moonlit sky. It was a rather special moment for some to sit back and take in the starry night sky - a pleasure felt so little in the cities! We had the wind in our hair, the sand between our toes and smiles on our faces.
