Past Journeys

The first ever QUT BIG LIFT departed in November 2011. See all the amazing work our members have accomplished over the years.

2022

Journey

This year Big Lift made a spectacular boom with events happening one after another. We had many new and exciting events and projects and also had a fantastic Mid Year Trip in Eidsvold, Taroom and Wandoan.

2021

Journey

Covid again struck in 2021, cancelling our annual Mid Year Trip and BlackButt Avocado Festival. Then our End of Year Trip was met with floods however with the great team of executives and a supporting bus driver we managed to have our End of Year Trip go through.

2020

Journey

2020 was a big hit on Big Lift as Covid-19 had many of our events cancelled such as the Cherbourg Reconciliation Fun Run, Mid Year Trip and BlackButt Avocado Festival. Though our determined executives made the End of Year trip possible.

2019

Journey

In 2019, Biglift worked on a mini lift down at the BlackButt Avocado Festival and had another great Mid Year Trip to Dalby, Injune and Chinchilla. Sadly our End of Year Trip was cancelled due to bushfires.

2018

Journey

In 2018, we went to Dalby, Injune and Chinchilla for another Mid Year trip, following with an End of Year trip through Cherbourg, Murgon, Eidsvold, Theodore and the Sunshine Coast. We were challenged with the oncoming bushfires but the trip continued and were were all safe in the end.

2017

Journey

This year we ventured to Dalby, Injune, Roma and Chinchilla for a mid year trip and in the later half of the year, we moved our journey back to Cherbourg, Eidsvold, Theodore, Agnes Water and Bundaberg.

Journey

With the very successful Mid Year 'Little' Lift last year :) we further added new projects called mini lifts where worked on smaller projects.

2015

Journey

This year QUT Big Lift decided to run two trips. One during the middle of the year and the other is our inaugural end of year trip.

2014

Journey

In 2014, another trip means another visit and indefinitely Big Lifters travelled back to Murgon, Cherbourg, Eidsvold and Moura.  

2013

Journey

Big Lift once again revisited the amazing Cherbourg, Eidsvold, Moura and Bundaberg with a new addition of Tannum Sands to the ever-growing list of towns.

Journey

With a successful year prior, Biglift visited some old foes in Cherbourg, Eidsvold and Agnes Water, later meeting some new special faces in Moura and Nambour.

2011

Journey

Once upon a time, in good ole 2011 Brisbane, a group of individuals banded together which would later be known as the very beginning of an amazing club and they Biglifted happily ever after to this day and evermore. The End :) This year we visited Cherbourg, Eidsvold, Theodore, Agnes Waters, Bundaberg and Mon Repos.
