The Race...

Upon our arrival at Bundaberg, we dropped our Big Lifters off with a map, some clues and a time limit - they had to complete a mini Amazing Race to find out lunch destination!

On foot, the teams had to visit the Bundaberg Art Gallery, the Railway station, count how many whales in a large painted mural and make their way to Alexandra Park, where the crew were setting up lunch.

Needless to say, some of our teams beat the crew - and using a complicated system of photo evidence and correct trivia answers, the real winning team was declared. But everyone's a winner on the Big Lift!

"A motto I live by is to make someone's day, everyday. "

The Sights...

To share the goodwill and warmth in our hearts, we paid a visit to Hinkler Shopping Centre in the heart of Bundaberg for some random acts of kindness.

In teams, with a budget of $20, we asked our Big Lifters to perform an act of kindness to others. These acts are built upon the Pay It Forward endeavours that began in America. It's the concept of asking that a good turn be repaid by having it done to others instead. Our Big Lifters sang Christmas Carols, gave out wrapped gifts to children, left positive post it notes, showed others their inner and outer beauty with a reflective mirror, wrote uplifting cards to another, bought strangers coffee, gave out flowers and were just generally beautiful people.
