At the farm, the Big Lifters set about pruning and maintaining  the trees and farmland. The group enjoyed their time and gained some new skills and knowledge in lychee farming.

The second group spent their time cleaning and preparing rooms to be painted. We then set about painting and tiling the kitchens splashback under the watchful eye of a builder who has given up his time, energy and business to help rebuild peoples homes.

Another fantastic community BBQ marked our first night in Bundaberg. Our first day in Bundy was our last service day on the trip. splitting into two groups we headed to a nearby lychee farm and the home of a gentleman who had been living in his shed for months. Both properties were severely damaged by the floods in January 2013 and both along with many others still have a lot of work to be done.

Our final night we made the trip to Mon Repos in the hope that we would see some sea turtles laying their eggs. After a few false starts and a long wait in the cold we finally made out way onto the beach.

Another late night was followed by another early morning. Packing our bags and the bus for the last time, we played some more games and took an abundance of photos. We embarked on our journey home, stopping briefly in Gympie before making it back to Brisbane. Exhausted and bleary eyed from our whirlwind trip we said our final goodbyes.
