MOURA

We were met in Moura by some familiar faces who helped us settle in for the night at the Moura Tennis Club. Then we hit the ground running in with a community dinner at the Moura RSL club.
The next day we got to work early, splitting up into our projects:
- Cleaning and maintenance at the Moura Tennis Club
- Cleaning, gardening and maintenance at the Moura Hack and Pony Club
- Gardening at the Moura Retirement Village
- Sanding and oiling tables and cleaning at the Moura RSL
- Cleaning and sorting out the Moura Girl Guides Hall
and working with the local youth to develop an online presence at the Moura Community Youth Centre.
After a long days work we were given the opportunity to utilize the towns beautiful Aquatic Centre facilities. We then shared dinner, talents and a movie with the youth at the Moura Community Youth Centre.
Having worked hard the first day, the next morning was spent finishing off some projects. We were then given the chance to talk to some of the local community members who shared their stories, memories and wisdom.
