Like previous years, our 40+ Big Lift volunteers had a comfortable night's stay in the South Burnett PCYC in Murgon.
Murgon State School
We sent some volunteers off to Murgon State School to help with some groundskeeping of the school gardens.
Some of our education students also popped into some classrooms to sit in on lessons and run reading programs with students.
The Ration Shed Museum is a testament to the resilience, strength and community-minded culture of the people of Cherbourg. Each year, Big Lifters tour the museum and partake in the valuable education program to learn about the history of protectionist regimes across Australia.
Participants also volunteered on the grounds, doing some basic gardening, clearing and maintenance of the museum space.
